Hey there! Supernorn here with another update for you all!

So what’s been happening?

Metadept has been working on more weapon abilities
Healthire has started the implementation of some of our new unique monsters
GeorgeV has been working on more unique monsters, we’re currently at around 50+!
Samuriferret has been working on new lore codexes, including some hylotl specific stuff!
Tccoxon has been working on more procedural quests
Kyren and myself have been working on art and implementation of a feature that’s been a long time coming!

It’s still a massive work in progress, but here’s a sneak peek…

As if that wasn’t enough, here’s another round of monsters for you all to gaze at!

17th September – Underground Parallaxes

Hello there!

While a major focus of the next update revolves around Combat, we’ve also been putting some much needed work into the underground. This involves creating fancy new parallaxes for each layer, as the player digs their way down. Take a look at these examples below, and let us know what you think!

In Chucklefish related news, we recently got our hands on the much anticipated Stardew Valley. We had a great time streaming it live via Twitch, and you can check out our sneak peek in ConcernedApe’s latest Dev Update!

[STABLE] Pleased Giraffe – Update 3

Hey everyone!

We just pushed a small update to Pleased Giraffe! Here’s the patch notes:

  • Launcher now has buttons for opengl and directx 64 bit (No longer marked as experimental, Recommended for people running 64 bit OSes)
  • Fixed an oversight that allowed NPCs to play with smallwallswitches outside their houses
  • Change to world generation, potentially improving performance in some cases
  •  
    In other news, Starbound is 15% off on Steam for the next 48 hours!
