Happy Wednesday, everyone!

Around this time last year, we got to go to a really cool game festival in Nottingham, UK called GameCity to demo Starbound. We had a really awesome time showing off the game and giving out stickers and badges at our little table, so we’ve decided to do it again this year!

This year we’re trying something a bit bigger – let’s build a colony together! We’ll have a few PCs running Starbound throughout the festival, and one of them will be dedicated to running Operation Colonisation. People can come up to the Operation Colonisation PC throughout the day to make their contribution to the colony. We’ll take screenshots throughout each day, and hopefully we’ll be able to make a timelapse at the end! Contributors to Operation Colonisation will receive a ~super exclusive~ contributor sticker. :D

If you can’t make it to GameCity, don’t worry – this is our first time trying this out, but if all goes well we’d really like to do something similar at future events, too! You should have plenty of other opportunities to get a sticker. I like giving out stickers. Stickers are great.

I do hope we see some of you there! <3 You can find the GameCity schedule here.

If you’re not interested in *any* of this but would like to see another of the unique monsters we’ve been working on, click to see the rest of the post!

6th October – Who’s that Starbound monster?

Hey everyone!

We’ve been ~super secretly~ working on some unique monsters! There are just a few so far, but there will be lots more later on. They’ll appear in specific biomes and have their own AI and abilities.

I’m only going to reveal one today! You’ll have to guess what the others are. Or, y’know, just wait.

What do you think these guys look like? :)

2nd October – You Raise Me Up

Evening folks! Just a quick one for you tonight.

Everyone’s been hard at work across the board, but I really wanted to show off Kyren’s new elevators with the wiring functionality she introduced today. While the graphics on the platforms are still extremely placeholder, she’s done an absolutely fantastic job and I was able to do a lot of cool stuff with just a few simple logic gate configurations. I’m really looking forward to seeing what you guys do with this!
